Thurs 5th -

There is a musicians forum, song writers circle and a camp scratch band as well as The Venue @ the Café, Jamming zone, a late café scene and opportunities to support various workshops with live music. If you enjoy drumming we always make time to drum together around the central fire, this often brings out the camp fire twirlers who enjoy entertaining us with their breathtaking skills.
The Music Camp is held in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and is here to help people who are interested in music to find ways to take their interest further and explore the magic of music in all its forms.
The wide range of workshop opportunities on offer ensures there will be something
for every one at all levels. The camp runs from Thursday to Sunday. During that time
you have a wide range of workshops and activities to choose from which give you the
opportunity to have a go at trying out different instruments -

Each morning there is a meeting at 10am in the largest marquee, where you can find out more about camp arrangements and workshops for the coming day. The workshops are held in a selection of marquees, yurts, domes and Tipi's of various sizes. The Café marquee is a central focus to the camp, and in the evenings hosts 'The Venue' giving the opportunity for live performances.

The Laughing Buddha is our camp retail experience par excellence, where you can come and explore a fabulous range of Clothes, Textiles, Instruments, Camp fire trivets etc... An ever changing Aladdin's cave of ideas and inspiration.

We want you to leave the camp feeling inspired to go and explore your own world of music.
Established musicians are well catered for and will enjoy the many opportunities to play and interact with the camp. We have an in house stage where you are welcome to explore your performance needs.

General domestics at camp
We have the Water World, a beautiful environment with piping Hot Showers and a relaxing
Sauna, all fired by wood burners. Our Toilets are the best: -

We have sinks for hand washing and standpipes to fill your water containers.
Pedal power to the people!
We have spent time developing and building a pedal powered stage for The Music Camp. We have an adapted bicycle, linked up with a car alternator, giving us power to a bank of batteries which in turn gives us 12volts of energy to power the stage in the Café. We are looking at ways of using wind power too.
This means we can offer a fabulous way to enjoy the live music at this year’s camp, courtesy of people power. A big plus is it cuts out the need for a generator and is a more camp and, environment friendly way to enjoy the stage in the Venue @ the Café.
